1.#GirlBoss – Sophia Amoruso
I read this very recently and it changed my whole perspective of success. Before reading this, I always thought that people who surround themselves with other driven and passionate people develop a drive and a work ethic for themselves. But this totally proved it wrong.
This book is the story of Sophia Amoruso, the founder of NastyGal, and how she went from being broke AF(seriously, my whole perception of “broke” changed after I read about how she lived) to running a $24 million company.
It talks all about how she had a job that she was upset with, and had a lot of free time to spend on the internet. So, she started an Ebay store called NastyGalVintage.
It gives us a very real insight of what it’s like to start from the bottom. In the book she mentions that NastyGal is a feminist brand, but honestly, if you’re a guy, I still highly recommend this book to you.
And good for us, if you’re not the kind of person to read a book, you can watch the Netflix series! It’s just as effective.
2.f@?k knows by Shailendra Singh
All my Indian readers be like whaaa???
This is completely different from any typical self-help book you’ve read before, I promise.
I could connect with the author in less than half a page into this book.It didn’t even require reading the first chapter to understand just how effective this book was going to be.
He has used the kind of informal language that will trigger many, but it’ll also connect with those who really get it, instantly.
This book talks about how, when everyone’s trying to tell you what to do and how to live your own life, you just gotta “f@?k it” and follow your passions.
All in all, love the vibe.10/10 recommend.
3.Crushing It! By Gary Vee.
Okay, first off, if you’re reading this, then there’s NO way that you don’t know who Gary Vee is, because of how much I’ve talked about him on this blog. And even if you’re new to my blog, hey, its Gary Vee.You can’t not know him.
You see the kind of impression he leaves on the world when he does his influence thing?
That’s exactly what you’ll read about in this book.He talks all about how to dominate your game, and it’s just a really empowering book to have at all times.
This book takes up a ton of energy to understand though, so if you take time to read it, it’s okay!I took a long time to read it to, and I still didn’t understand everything.I’m soon going to start reading this book for the second time.
Have you read any of these books?Let me know some of your recommendations in the comments below, because I’d love to check them out!
